Sample Cover Letter in Google Docs
Follow me on Pinterest @CathleenParedes . I am a HUGE pinterest fan- you basically create virtual bulletin boards to organize and store creative ideas and articles on ANYTHING you can think of. Very very helpful for teachers and mommies- and actually anyone. I tell everyone about Pinterest! I have boards for recipes, health tips, crafts, classroom management, organization and lessons.

I created my digital story using Little Bird Tales .
My last year of teaching, my students were in 8th grade. They are now Seniors about to graduate high school, so I created my digital story for them. I created an event on Facebook and asked them to tag me in a picture of them from this year. The school that I taught at has a graduation rate of 55%- this makes me even more proud of my students earning their diplomas.
Back in 8th grade, I would choose a student of the week ("Shining Star") from each class, you will see references to that in my presentation. I plan on posting this on Facebook soon, so they can see what I made for them. Little Bird Tales was VERY easy to use, I will definitely use this site again.

I created this glog using Glogster edu. I am still VERY new to it, but LOVE what I see it is capable of doing. I love how creative you can be with posts, I can see how students would enjoy viewing lessons on here and even creating their own blogs.
ReplyDeleteI decided to create a sample cover letter in Google Docs for a couple of reasons. 1) It may be useful for upcoming graduates to see an example and 2) now my cover letter is accessible no matter which computer I am on.
ReplyDeleteRight now is the time to get hired and I have been contacting many principles. This is going to make it very convenient for me to pull up my sample cover letter, make the changes I need and send it to the principal. Great tool!
I'm going to need a lot more practice with my Wiki page. I like the concept of it, but it wasn't as user friendly as the other applications we have used up to this point.
ReplyDelete~ Ok, so I may be the last person to jump on the Skype bandwagon, but what a neat communication option! I just Skyped my husband and two babies from another room in the house, that was fun!
ReplyDeleteThis could easily be integrated into classroom use (and I am sure already is!) Calls home could be much more personal (vs a regular phone call home or email), and kids could talk via skype when working on projects together- very cool!
Your Little Bird Tale about your 8th grade students' graduation into high school was very cute and commemorative. I am sure they enjoyed it very much. What a sweet gesture to them!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you set up your blog.
